Help, I accidentally  used Facebook “Like” button.  It was a virus.  How do I unlike the page and warn my friends?

If you don’t know what you’re joining, don’t click on the “Like” button – because your friends will see it in your News Feed, and they’ll join it too.   In the table below, see the steps how to “Unlike” a Facebook page after you “Like” it.

How to UNLIKE a page on
Facebook

IMPORTANT! AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE…
prevent your friends from seeing that you “Liked” the page!
Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account, then click “Profile”link in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Click your “Wall” tab
Step 3: Scroll down to find the section in your wall with the title “RECENT ACTIVITY”
Step 4: Find the offending entry in your Facebook “RECENT ACTIVITY” section. In my case, it was “Chuck likes The SHOCKING Hidden Message in The Google Logo!” (see image in step 3)
Step 5: Hover your cursor over the offending recent activity entry that you don’t want your friends to follow, and a REMOVE button will appear to the right. Click the [Remove] button. (see image in step 3)

NOW, here’s how to “UNLIKE” the Facebook virus page:
Step 6: Click the “Profile” link, then click your “Info” tab
Step 7: Scroll to the “Likes an Interests” section, and click the “Edit” link in the upper right corner of that section.
Step 8: When the form appears, click the “Show other Pages” link, near the bottom of the form.
Step 9: When “Other Pages You Like” appears, scroll down to the offending (virus) page, then click the [Remove Page] button
Step 9: Click the [Close] button at the bottom right  of the dialog.
